End Results of Dax Moy Meltdown

February 2, 2010

Came to the end of the Dax Moy program about a week ago for me.  My holiday to Australia was always the end point in my eyes as I knew it would be very hard to follow all of the steps involved in the program.

In the haste to pack I did not get round to taking all the measurements for my body but did get to weigh myself.  I was down to 165lbs on Day 24.  For other measurement improvements, see the blog for day 19.

Even now, after a week and a half of only one session a day and a few bad foods, I’m still only up to 168lbs.

During the 3 weeks that I followed the Meltdown program I noticed that my life changed a great deal.  Not only did the weight loss and fat loss program improve my body weight to 165lbs (loss of 9lbs), it also reduced my waist at the belly button to just below 33 inches (a loss of over 4inches)

Following the program also taught me how to cook, can finally make a few decent meals from scratch.  My energy levels are a lot higher.  Athletics training became much easier and did not feel as tight as I always did before hand.  My flexibility is much improved, core strength is up, and body is much more toned than its ever been.

But the main thing that the Meltdown program did for me is that it made me believe that I can make a change to my life.  That I do have the determination to follow a set goal, to make things work how I want them to work and that my life is dictated by me and not by work or any other bad influence.

I would highly recommend that people take a look at Dax Moy’s site over at http://www.londonpersonaltrainingstudio.com

Day 23

January 23, 2010

Day 23 is coming to an end, all workouts done.

Joined in with my team today for the little match at the end of training, glad i don’t play anymore, can’t be doing all that running about lol, so different to athletics.

Hada bad time with the food today, some bad things were eaten and had to have some carbs as well.

We are going to Australia on Monday so mum has emptied the fridge so it can be turned off before we go.  When I got in I couldn’t find any of the food that was in there so ate a few chocolate biscuits and a bit of birthday cake.  For dinner in the evening, after my mum showed me where the food was, I used the last two potatoes for a shepards pie, very tasty, and ed good, just not low carb.

Eaten quite a bit of fruit today as well, using up whats around.

The chocolate has done me in a bit though, my last work out of the day was pretty poor.  Also I’ve got a bit of heartburn now and a little toothache.

Anyways, body is looking much better :-), just hope my shorts still fit lol

day 20

January 20, 2010

Upped the weights today, really made my shoulders ache 🙂  All work outs completed and looking forward to some fruit tomorrow.

Made a lovely dinner of mince tonight, very tasty.

Day 17 and 18

January 18, 2010

Over half way through now.

THough the past two days haven’t been great.  Really struggled with my morning workout yesterday but managed to push very hard for the rest of the day.  Today, however, I have been ill so only managed my morning workout and some cardio.  As the day went on I did start to feel better and was suprised that 24 hours with no food didn’t have me feeling like a cranky little b*******

Body should be looking great for when I go Oz next week 🙂

Day 15

January 15, 2010

just had first craving.  Not so much for i must have that, but just wanteda little extra on my food.  Made a nice bit of mince with onion tomato and garlic sauce and before eating it i really wanted to put some cheese on top of it and get a nice bit of bread and butter to dip into it.  I managed to beat this and ate it how it was, probably the best food i’ve cooked so far :-), for once I got the flavours to mix better and to infuse the mince.

Yeasterday was quite hard for work outs, missed a couple of them due to journeys taking 5 times as long as they should have, and got very hungry during the day as well so ate rather than doing an evening workout.

Day 11-12-13 and measurements

January 13, 2010

Last few dayshave been up and down.  Struggled with day 12 first workout, so much so that I had to stop.

Been getting a variety of cardio in, exercise bike, and some squash (which i lost heavily lol), going to get some swimming in as well.

Sticking to the diet, not had any cravings for sweets etc at all.

Body has improved a lot, jeans fit so much better, may even be time to go to the shops for new clothes 🙂

One measurement I should have taken was the forearms, they seem to have grown so much over the last couple weeks.

Here are updated measurments, taken at the end of day thirteen, compared with day 4.

Chest – 37inches (-1inch)

Waist at belly button – 33inches (-4inches)

Day 10 – Morning

January 10, 2010

Feeling good, exercises all being done and push ups have improved lots.

Cooked myself shepards pie last night, still need work on that side of things, didn’t have much in flavour.

Wanted tostay in bed a bit longer this morning, its sooooo cold here, cannot get the feet warm at all.

One major plus from the meltdown program is that its got me still doing exercise during a time when the track has been closed.  Track will probably be closed most of this week as well but coaching starts back up meaning gym sessions can be included.  Will do three sessions in gym and see how it feels combined with all the meltdown bits.
